GU16 Thame v Henley
By Nina Chadbone
Another cold and windy fixture and the girls struggled to find their way in the first half. Henley were strong and at times the play was quite rough with our players finding themselves being pushed off the ball when on the attack. Henley managed to score first to take the lead looking the stronger team throughout the first half. At half time the girls regrouped and with a little group discussion started the second half with a renewed gusto. Winning the ball on tackles and their passes finding each other. Emma C finally was passed the ball in the centre and she went on her charge straight down into the D and fired the ball past the keeper taking the score line level 1-1. This helped no end and the girls were now constantly on the attack but their shots on goal were either wide or saved by a their keeper. Final score 1-1. MOM: Emma C. Brilliant play in the second half girls, well done everyone.
