Boys U12 Round 5 today at Amersham. We’re into the last phase of the competition with the aim of holding our position in League 1. We faced Buckingham who we’ve previously beaten but we offered little in the way of movement, teamwork or applying the basics, so they sadly they beat us 3-0. Then we moved pitch to play the relegated team Amersham B and despite a better first half went into half time 2-0 after some delightful ball watching. Again we finished this game 3-0 despite some minor improvements. Our new player Ben did very well and looks promising. Going into the last game against Tring we had a serious chat and had to really raise our game as we were without Lucas as he was poorly. We defended a lot better and made some passes (great work from Leo, Hugo & Aiden) and went into half time 0-0. Again we had an honest look at the opportunity in front of us and went out to win the second half and the game 2-0. Better team play saw goals for Jake and Charlie were good to see and with us almost giving away a goal thru a PC towards the end we came good and secured 3 points. So 1 win and 2 losses. Lots to work on between now and the final round at Tring. Thanks to the parents for braving the wind and watching the boys this afternoon
