Well done Thame B’s (Lucy, Oliver, Mauritz, Jake, William, Poppy and Bo) for a fantastic effort and great demonstration of team work playing together for the first time at the Bicester tournament today. We lost our first three matches against tough opposition but the team showed great determination and made improvements with each match and the promise of mini eggs inspired Poppy to slot in a fantastic goal to win the 4th match 1-0. We sadly lost the last game after Bicester scored in the final moments but the stand in coaches (Lisi and Sanda Ringsma) were really proud of your efforts and willingness to listen and try out different positions. Special Congratulations to Will as a hockey novice for his first game for Thame after only 4 training sessions with the club and thanks to all for their touch line support.

Message from Bicester club: There will be lots of food and drinks available on the day starting with tea and coffee and fresh pastries first thing. This year we are trying to encourage less rubbish and recycling so are offering deals on hot drinks where festival attendees bring along their own refillable mug. We are also going to be selling water bottles and will have a squash refill station where endless refills will be included in the purchase price. For people who have a water bottle already there will be a one-off nominal payment for bottomless refills.
Parking as usual will be busy so please can we ask everyone to park considerately.
