Latest News:
Season 2011/12, First inaugural Crocket match
The first ever cross-sports challenge between Thame Hockey Club and Haddenham Cricket Club took place on Saturday April 14.
The day consisted of a 20 minute each way hockey match followed by a 2020 cricket fixture.
The day was played in great spirit with both sets of players enjoying the challenge of playing a different sport.
Haddenham Cricket Clud eventually emerged victorious despite losing the hockey 7-0.
Due to their victory in the hockey Thame took a 50 run lead into the cricket but unfortunately were unable to make the most of their headstart and eventually fell short by 20 runs.
While it was a shame Haddenham took home the trophy, all concerned agreed it had been a fantastic experiment and pledged that it would become an annual even.
Thame look forward to getting their hands on the silverware next year.
