Thame 1XI started their 2023/24 season with a positive performance, winning 2-1 away at Amersham & Chalfont 3.
Thame got off to a great start, after Amersham & Chalfont 3 tool the lead. Harris received the ball in the circle and turned his defender before firing the ball past the goalkeeper.

Thame took the lead in the second time through Ben Lamb. Lamb finished off a well-worked move, beating the goalkeeper with a low shot.
Thame defended well in the second half to hold on to their victory. They were well-organised and disciplined, and they did not give Amersham & Chalfont many chances to score.

Overall, it was a very encouraging performance from Thame in their first game of the season. They showed good team spirit and determination, and they will be looking to build on this performance in the coming weeks.
