Thame 1XI Come Back from Shocking Start to Beat Wycombe 2XI 4-3

Thame 1XI came back from a shocking start to beat Wycombe 2XI 4-3 in a thrilling match at Thame Leisure Centre on Saturday 30th September 2023.

Thame had a shocking start to the game, conceding three goals in the first quarter. However, Ben Lamb pulled a goal back for Thame just before half-time to give them hope.

In the second half, Thame were a transformed team. They took control of the game and possession, and they scored three goals in quick succession to turn the match around. Dave Garghan scored three of Thame's four goals, including the winner in the final quarter.

Garghan's performance was particularly impressive, as he led the Thame comeback and inspired his team to victory. He was named man of the match for his efforts.

Overall, it was a very impressive performance from Thame 1XI. They showed great character and determination to come back from a 3-1 deficit to win the game. This victory will give them a lot of confidence for the rest of the season.
