With trepidation Thame welcomed top of the league Henley. Henley began with the upper hand and after 10 minutes converted their runs with a goal. Thame picked themselves up and started to apply the pressure with Emma, Bel and Amy doing some amazing runs up the pitch. It was not long then that Thame managed to break Henley's defence down and Bel finished the charge with a great goal, making the score level. This was just what Thame needed and they picked up the pace finding their passes and working around the Henley team. To the delight of the crowd, the girls upped the tempo and fired in three goals in quick succession, first Rosie, then Amber with two goals. Half time came and the jelly women were consumed as quick as the goals had come! The second half started with the two sides playing the ball from end to end with Henley finding the back of the goal first. After several saves from the Henley Goalie (Thame's U14 stand in, Zoe), Thame were undetered and Emma C slotted in a fantastic goal. For the next 20 minutes Henley were fighting back and testing Imogen constantly who put in save after save, but couldn't find a way through. Final Score 5-2 to Thame. MoM Imogen whose performance in goal was once again outstanding. Well done to the whole team for their performance throughout the whole match and never giving up!
