Thame GU16's start the season with a convincing win

An amazing start to the season for the U16 girls. The sun was shining and they started with the push back. A few excellent passes and the ball was in the D. Esme was passed the ball and with a lovely reverse stick hit she slotted it past the goalie for a goal in the first minute. With spirits high Thame remained in charge and keeping possession Rosie found a way past their goalie scoring her first. A & C stepped up their game but Thame kept threatening and were awarded several short corners but couldn't find a way through A & C's defense. The second half started much like the first with Thame winning possesion immediately, turning on the pressure. After two minutes the ball was passed to Rosie who fired in her second goal. A & C came back at us with renewed vigor and after a break away scored their first goal. Undeterred Thame pulled together and kept testing A & C's goalie. Finally the ball popped out for Rosie who scored following with another goal one minute later. Final Score 5-1 with a brilliant performance by the whole team. Man of the Match - Rosie.
