The Ladies 5s got their inaugural match off to a fantastic start with a 4-2 away win against Bicester 4s. It took a little time for the new team to settle into their first game together, but once they found their rhythm there was no looking back. They finished the first half strongly and carried that momentum into the second, with two well-executed short corner routines producing goals. Vicky Shaw scored twice, with Gemma Reaney and Laura Lamborn picking up one each.

A special mention to Lily and Abi, who both made their league debuts and slotted in brilliantly. Lily grew in confidence throughout the game and was particularly impressive in defence during the second half.

The Men's 4s came away with a 3-0 home win against Leighton Buzzard 4s, with goals from Justin, Alex and Charlie. Two veterans and one debutant on the scoresheet, with Charlie Cojeen grabbing his first senior goal for Thame. No cards either, although Scotty's absence may have had something to do with that...

There were plenty more firsts too, with five juniors and three adults making their first senior appearances for Thame.
