The drive to Oxford was easy as Thame travelled to an Away game which had an extremely late kick off with dismal weather.
The mishaps started straight from the cuff when Summer (DOD this week) slipped over in the changing rooms and broke a precious nail. Everyone bar Summer was laughing buckets.
Thame’s warm up was energetic and bursting full of enthusiasm. The team were determined to win 3 victorious points .
The game kicked off to a hectic start with Thame being put under a lot of pressure and high level of emotions from the sound of the whistle. Overloaded by players scattered over the pitch left right and centre . Unfortunately Thame didn’t manage to score a goal and ended the first half on a loss.
The team talk attempted to inspire and motivate the team as levels of negativity and doubts filled the pitch . At times Thame broke through Oxfords sea of players; however, Thame didn’t manage to take a win this week. The trees were swaying in the heavy wind and some of the leaves were blowing onto the pitch. Lucy set up a beautiful goal which Lisa smashed in. Thame ended the game 1-6.
Going strong at training on Monday and hitting Reading hard next week for the home game.
