Promotion into the L1 of Chiltern League - Boys U12 Team

So the weather was awful but let’s not worry about that. The Thame U12 boys went out and applied themselves so well that they overran a strong Buckingham team 3-0 and then after a 5’ break Amersham 3-0 meaning they hit promotion to league 1. In both games they worked well as a team, passed the ball with meaning and encouraged each other with lots of positive shouting in the rain. Strong defence was key to our team, and Zack saved the day several times. In the final game they drew 1-1 with St Albans but by then it’s didn’t really matter as the hard work had been completed. Roll on round 3. Well done to our soaked umpires Becs Owen Gardner Jasmine Chadbone and time keeper Lisa Welsh and to our parents for braving the conditions as well - great club spirit on display today.
