The first game we defended well against a well drilled and lively Wallingford team. We went down 3-0 in the end, but can argue we had good possession and built off last weeks games in North London. We cut out most of the mistakes which was good.
We then had some time to reflect and talk together, before we went out to play Oxford. Sadly, we lost this game 3-1 but both Oxford coaches complimented us on our togetherness and how well we defended our lines, more so after 12+ penalty corners.
We’re most pleased with the team spirit and the talking whilst the squad also encourage each other to improve. They’re a great group of boys who play for each other.
We move on to the Chiltern League next week hoping to progress.
Thanks again to Lisa Welsh and the 100% support of the parents. Thanks for coming to watch the team despite the cold conditions.
