And the wins keep on coming

Business as usual for Men’s 3rds as we were away at Bicester, comfortably winning 5-1 and maintaining our 100% record.

For the second match in a row, we played attacking hockey from the off. I don’t think the opposition made it into our 23 until after about 25 minutes or so. But by then the damage had been done as we were 4-0 up. A third hat trick in a row for David Mordant and Robbie also getting in on the act with a goal.

Bicester upped their game at the start of the second half as they threw bodies in attack. Yet again for a second weekend in a row, no clean sheet due to keeper inactivity leading to conceding a goal. Only two registered shots on goal from them in the match shows how great my defence is, exactly the same amount of shots on goal as last weeks game!

In typical fashion we responded almost straightaway, earning a short corner which Dave calmly slotted into the bottom left hand corner.

Three points clear at the top of Div 9 although Newbury have not had two win results approved yet which would bring them level on points but behind on goal difference.
