The match started well on a windy afternoon against a strong Slough side who also had a couple of stand-out strong players hitting long and hard. Thame played well and scored first with Gabi putting the ball past the keeper to take the lead. Slough then came back with their first very good goal but Thame soon took the lead again with a great pass enabling Bel to score for 2:1 at half time.
At the beginning of the second half Slough came back strongly to equalise despite some great defending from Thame. Thame played better in this half and as a team to deliver some great marking and some great passing too. In the last minutes of the match Thame scored a really well deserved third goal with Lisi delivering a great shot from a pass around the keeper to the top of the D.
Jas was a well-deserved MOM – fantastic defending clearing the ball out of the D with some really strong hits (and for putting up with quite a lot of hard pushing and shoving from a couple of the opposition players).
