Players selected for this tournament were notified by email on 12 October. Details as below:

Venue: Oxford Hawks Hockey Club, Banbury Road North, Oxford, OX2 8EQ

Timings: meet the coaches pitch side at 11.30am. Tournament runs 12-2pm

Format: 7 a-side mixed teams with goalkeepers, on half pitches. Note our squad sizes are 8/9 players so there will be brief periods 'off the pitch' for each player. Games will be a single half of 9-10 minutes with a very short turnaround period between matches. No short corners.

Kit:
•gumshields and shinpads essential
•sticks (we will have some to borrow if don’t have your own)
•light blue long socks (for new club members, these can be bought via the club website, or any sports shop inc. Sportdirect)
•Light blue team shirts/bibs can be provided, but if you have a suitable or club shirt of your own please bring it
•Wet-weather/warm clothing and a drink
•Plus £5 match fee

Squads: A and B teams - to be advised nearer the time, but the list of players is below if you wish to liftshare.

Please can I also request volunteers for a second goalkeeper(s). We’ll be asking players to try out the position and rotate round through tournaments, so please let me know if your child is keen. GK training will be provided at Juniors this Saturday.

Car Parking: Oxford Hawks have advised they will have limited car parking on the day so please try the alternative car parks first.

Cutteslowe car park at the end of Harbord road is a pay and display park now (£1.20 for two hours or £2.30 for 3 hours or longer). No parking on Harbord Road now. Also car parking at Jordon Hill Business Park just across the road from Hawks. There is plenty of car parking here either on the estate road or in the OUP sports car park and it is free and only a short distance from Hawks.

Other info: Refreshments provided throughout the day at the pitch side kiosk and in the club house. Medals for all players, plus a charity raffle to raise money for a new disabled hockey team Hawks are aiming to set up, called Oxford Flyers. Separate raffle for each age group with prizes including a range of hockey sticks, bags and other kit which we have been donated by Kookaburra/ Toma Hockey and others. Raffle to be drawn at the end of each age group session.
