U10s Abingdon festival

A glorious early September day to start off the u10 festival season at Abingdon for a friendly round robin tournament of 5 teams.
The season kicked off with a closely fought 1-1 draw against the hosts Abingdon before we registered a really good first win of the new season with a 1-0 victory against Swindon. Goalkeepers were rested in the third game against Bicester, which ended in a 2-0 defeat and then were also beaten by a very strong Oxford team who were to be the winners on the day. Hopefully lots of valuable experience gained, we will be practicing more movement off the ball and stronger passing. We finished third equal and came away with a trophy for the "Beat the Keeper" team tournament that was also being run. A really fun day, well done to all who took part, it was a good way to start the season and played in a great spirit as well as some warm autumn sunshine.
